Jetsetters advised to book early for Euro Summer 2024

7 July, 2023

While Adelaide temperatures continue to drop, envy is high for beautiful, sunny locations across Europe as photos flood our social media feeds.

RAA Travel General Manager Gina Norman said that now is the ideal time to plan your trip for a European Summer in 2024 as flights begin to go on sale.

“We’ve seen booking demand increase significantly which has led to longer lead up times for preferred dates and destinations.”

“If you’re looking to go to Europe over their Summer next year, we recommend booking as soon as you can as more and more flights are added in the next month.”

“Plan for your preferred dates and destinations and have a look as soon as the airfares come out so you can get the best fares for the best departure times.”

Gina said that thousands of Australians are yet to book trips using their COVID credits with most of these expiring on 31 December. Qantas has announced that customers still have $400million in unused credits across the country.

“Thousands had to cancel their trips during COVID restrictions resulting in COVID credits, and and Australians are still to use these before the end of the year. Really think about using these credits for booking your European trip for 2024.”

A popular choice for jetsetters to get the best value possible, is with multi-stop tickets which are either round trips where you can fly back from a different location, or a series of one-way tickets in the same region.

“This option is becoming more and more popular as a way to see multiple countries at a great value.”

If you’re wanting to squeeze in a last-minute deal, there are still some heavily discounted rates that travellers can take advantage of.
