The appointments were announced at yesterday’s RAA Member Information Sessions, a new opportunity for members to directly connect with the RAA Board and leadership team.

RAA Board Chair Kathy Gramp said the appointments came at a critical time for the organisation, following its transition to a CLG under the Corporations Act.

“As RAA embarks on its next chapter under the Corporations Act with a modernised corporate governance structure and growing and diverse business, it’s imperative we have Directors with the right skill set to help lead the organisation,” Mr Gramp said.

“Both Sunita and Dinuke have decades of experience leading and guiding organisations across a diverse range of portfolios.

“That experience will be invaluable as RAA continues to grow and diversify its business operations to meet the needs of our 830,000 members.”

Ms Gramp also thanked Sharon Starick and Victoria Angove for their service and contribution to RAA.

“Both Sharon and Victoria have been excellent Directors and colleagues, helping lead RAA’s strategy in a time of significant growth and diversification,” Ms Gramp said.

RAA Chief Executive Officer Nick Reade said the appointments were well received by members and the forums were a great opportunity to engage with members.

“As a member-based organisation, we’re always looking at ways to connect with our members – whether it’s at our AGM, our regional roadshows and Gold50 events or forums like yesterday,” Mr Reade said.

“Yesterday was an opportunity for members to hear from us about our transition to a CLG, our new insurance partnership with Allianz Australia and the future of RAA.

“Importantly though, we also got to hear from our members about what matters most to them and the feedback we received was extremely valuable.

“In particular, we’re keen to continue to engage with our members about how they would like us to give back to them and the community following the capital injection we received from our new insurance partnership.

“We’ve started consulting with members already and will continue to do so throughout the year and I’m excited about some of the ideas being explored which we’ll be able to share down the track.”

*Appointed under RAA’s new constitution, with Ms Gloster will formally commence on 31 July and will be up for election at this year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM)
