Free Fringe shows each week at RAA’s new Garden Party

14 February, 2025

Adelaide Fringe-goers can enjoy an hour of free entertainment every Sunday afternoon throughout the 2025 festival, thanks to the new RAA Garden Party Stage at The Garden of Unearthly Delights.

Located in the north-eastern corner of the Garden, next to Dream State, the RAA Garden Party Stage will play host to free, family-friendly shows between 2:30 and 3:30pm every Sunday for the next six weeks.

It all kicks off this weekend on Sunday 16 February featuring comedian Andrew Hansen of the Chaser as MC, kids circus and comedy act BAM WOW Amazing Show and magician Kevin Quantum.

Tickets are not required and attendees of all ages are welcome.

At other times, the RAA Garden Party will provide a relaxing spot to sit and soak up the biggest arts festival in Australia.

As part of the new partnership between RAA and the Garden of Unearthly Delights, RAA members can also access discounted tickets to selected shows – with details available on the RAA website.

RAA Chief Marketing Officer Michael Healy said the state’s largest membership organisation was proud to come on board as a major sponsor of the Garden of Unearthly Delights.

“We love the Fringe at RAA, and there’s no better place to experience it than at the iconic Garden of Unearthly Delights,” Mr Healy said.

“Our new RAA Garden Party Stage has prime position in the Garden so we’d encourage everyone to come and check it out while you’re visiting the festival.

“From comedians through to magicians and circus acts – Sunday at 2:30pm is the time to visit the RAA Garden Party and settle in for an hour of free entertainment.

“We all know budgets are tight right now, so we’re ecstatic to be able to offer an hour of free, family-friendly shows each week – and there’s no excuse not to visit!”

The Garden of Unearthly Delights producer, Michelle Buxton welcomed RAA to the Garden.

“We are so excited to officially open the Garden of Unearthly Delights for 2025 and are thrilled to be welcoming the RAA to the Garden Family. We’re very much looking forward to seeing the weekly family friendly free showcase come to life within the RAA Garden Party space,” Ms Buxton said.

“Opening a week earlier this year, we’re giving people even more opportunity to enjoy everyone’s favourite time of year in Adelaide. With so much to do at The Garden, from experiencing the World Premiere of Dream State, to indulging in a delicious feast at the Garden’s new restaurant The Flamin’ Galah led by Duncan Welgemoed, alongside the spectacular free entertainment thanks to RAA.

“It truly is going to be a magical season, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back from February 14 for another unforgettable year!”
