Motorists are being urged to plan their journeys around road closures this Sunday, 20 September, as more than 30,000 people take part in the annual City-Bay Fun Run.
Road closures will be in place across the city and along the route to Glenelg from as early as 4:30am, with some restrictions remaining until 2:00pm.

Registered participants can travel free of charge on Adelaide Metro buses, trains and trams between 5:00am and 2:00pm, with dedicated event shuttle buses also running throughout the morning. Tram services will terminate at Brighton Road while closures are in place, from around 5:20am to 12:30pm.
RAA Senior Manager Road Safety and Infrastructure Charles Mountain urged drivers to be aware of the event and plan your travel accordingly to avoid the temporary road closures.
“The City-Bay Fun Run is one of Adelaide’s most popular community events, and these road closures are essential to keep participants, volunteers and spectators safe,” Mr Mountain said.
“With thousands of runners converging on Anzac Highway and the Glenelg finish line, we’re asking motorists to slow down in managed areas and follow changed traffic conditions on the day.
“If you’re heading into the city or southern suburbs on Sunday morning, take a few minutes beforehand to check the road closure times so you’re not caught out.”
