RAA is pleased to announce the appointment of high-profile brand and marketing leader, Michael Healy to its executive team.
Michael will join RAA as Chief Marketing Officer, effective 16 January, returning to South Australia from his most recent role as Chief Marketing Officer for New Zealand’s Meridian Energy.
RAA CEO Nick Reade described Michael as one of the most accomplished and proven marketing leaders in Australia and New Zealand with a shared commitment to RAA’s member and community values.
“Michael brings incredible commercial and community experience across energy, financial services and sustainability to RAA as we transform and grow our organisation,” he said.
“In his time at Meridian, Michael has overseen significant growth in the business, the development and launch of their Zero charging network, spearheaded a self-funding community decarbonisation program and grown his team to be one of the most awarded in New Zealand.”
A New Zealand native, Michael has split his career between Auckland, Sydney and Adelaide. He held senior leadership roles in the Westpac group for nearly 10 years, including Head of Brand and Marketing at BankSA, and Head of Group Media, Sponsorship, Events, Agencies and Digital and Social Media.
During his time with BankSA, Michael was the driving force behind the well-known Piping Shrike campaign and is known for adding value through his self-described “spicy blend of marketing science, commerciality, creativity and innovation”.
“Michael is excited to bring his passion and experience in energy and mobility back to a community he knows and loves, and to carry on the RAA legacy,” Mr Reade said.
Michael is an award-winning marketer who began his career at some of New Zealand’s best advertising agencies and is a graduate of the Auckland University of Technology.
