RAA is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Schonfeldt as Chief People Officer, joining the executive team on 16 October.
Chief Executive Officer Nick Reade said Laura’s skills, experience and values would add tremendous value to the transformational program under way at RAA.
“RAA will benefit enormously from Laura’s diverse commercial and public sector experience and her passionate, people-centric approach,” Mr Reade said.
“At RAA we’re continually investing in its people, capability, culture and workplace strategy.
“Our people, culture and employee experience are critical to our long-term success.
“Laura joins our leadership team at a pivotal time in our 120-year history as we reshape our organisational design and development programs to support and grow our 1200-strong, local workforce.”
Most recently Executive Director, People and Culture, with the Department of Education, Laura had strategic and operational responsibility for a workforce of 30,000 people, including organisational and leadership development, enterprise bargaining, culture and leading the pandemic response.
Laura has senior and diverse sector experience in national agribusiness and insurance companies, including Elders, IAG and QBE in Sydney and Adelaide, as well as roles with the Australian Red Cross and David Jones.
Laura joins the gender-balanced Executive team of RAA.
She holds an MBA from the University of South Australia, where she is now part of their Executive Partners mentoring program, and she holds a range of board positions and professional associations.
