RAA’s Grassroots Giving backs community projects across SA

11 June, 2026

RAA is giving local communities a boost, with 33 not-for-profit organisations sharing in over $155,000 worth of grants through its Grassroots Giving program.

Grants of up to $5,000 have been awarded to initiatives spanning youth development, environmental sustainability, reconciliation, innovation and support for vulnerable South Australians.

They include local wildlife rescue group Hills Wildlife Guardians for new vehicle safety equipment and lighting, and Yankalilla Football Club to help fund a new partnership with Tiwi Island footballers.

RAA General Manager Community and Corporate Affairs Emily Perry said the program continued to back organisations making a meaningful impact in the community.

“Some of the most powerful work happening in South Australia is being led by local community groups, and Grassroots Giving is about helping to bring more of this work to life,” Ms Perry said.

“We know even modest funding can make a significant difference for organisations that are already doing so much with limited resources.

“These groups are supporting vulnerable people, creating stronger communities and delivering practical solutions to local challenges every day.

“Every year we’re inspired by the passion, creativity and dedication shown by the people behind these projects.

“As South Australia’s largest membership organisation, supporting stronger and more connected communities across the state is something RAA is incredibly proud to be part of.”

The Grassroots Giving program is part of RAA’s Community Impact Fund, which invests up to $5m to grow partnerships across road safety response, advocacy and education, as well as support for causes important to RAA members and community.
