RAA will transform the Rundle Mall Fountain into Adelaide’s own ‘Trev-I’ Fountain on Friday – giving RAA members the chance to win a trip to Europe by selecting one of 3,000 bearded rubber ducks.
From 12pm on Friday 28 February, there will be an Italian RAA and Trev the Bee takeover at the ‘Trev-i Fountain’, replete with Italian music and free cannoli for RAA members.
As part of the takeover, RAA members will be able to fish out one of 3,000 bearded rubber ducks from the fountain – all of which will correspond with a prize – on a first come, first served basis.
One ‘lucky duck’ will win the major prize of return flights and accommodation for two to Rome, where they can visit the Trevi Fountain IRL, thanks to RAA Travel.
Other prizes include cinema vouchers, bar and restaurant vouchers, activity vouchers and many more thanks to various partners of the RAA Rewards program.
RAA Chief Marketing Officer Michael Healy said it was better to be a member at RAA.
“RAA’s beardy bee, Trev, has caused quite the buzz since we introduced him to the world last year,” Mr Healy said.
“As we enter Mad March in Adelaide, Trev thought this would be the perfect time to give back to 3,000 of our valued RAA members, and show some love to the Rundle Mall Fountain that sits proudly in front of the Adelaide Arcade.
“If you have a valid RAA membership card – for example if you’ve got roadside assistance or insurance with us – come along and pick one of the 3,000 rubber ducks out of the ‘Trevi-i’ Fountain.
“You never know where your rubber duck may take you: from your local pub for a free meal, all the way to Rome to see the real Trevi Fountain thanks to RAA Travel.”
The activation is expected to run from 12 noon until 9pm or when prizes are exhausted – with the major prize selected at random at some point during the day.
