RAA celebrates group of long-serving legends with over 2,300 years of combined experience!
In a remarkable display of loyalty and dedication, RAA recently celebrated more than 70 employees who have all clocked an impressive 25 years or more of service with the organisation.
With a combined experience spanning over 2,300 years, these individuals are the embodiment of RAA’s commitment to excellence and its people-centric approach.
At a special celebration recently at RAA’s Mile End headquarters recently, CEO Nick Reade praised these longstanding employees, including Patrol Team Leader John Heddle, who has been with RAA for an astonishing 42 years.
“I’ve seen a lot of changes over the years, but one thing that’s remained constant is our dedication to member service,” John said.
“It’s been an honour to serve the RAA members for over four decades.”
Others in attendance, such as Product Operations Coordinator Jane Slattery (44 years of service) and Roadside Assistance Centre Consultant Sharon Foran (39 years of service), shared their experiences, highlighting the evolution of RAA’s services and systems.
“We used to use a board with physical pieces to keep track of Patrol van dispatches – it was like what you see on Game of Thrones!” Sharon recalled.
So, what’s the secret to RAA’s retention of these longstanding employees?
“It’s probably a combination of our commitment to excellence, supportive work environment, and passionate team members – plus much more,” said CEO Nick Reade.
“At RAA we feel our purpose of being better for members and better for the community helps us to retain great talent, because the work we do makes a genuine difference to the lives of so many South Australians.
“We are so grateful to these 70+ employees, and many more, who have given such outstanding service to RAA and its members over a long period of time.”
