New Future Expo to connect members with RAA’s experts at 2022 AGM

15 November, 2022

In a first for the State’s largest membership organisation, RAA will be holding its Annual General Meeting alongside a ‘Future Expo’, giving its members the chance to interact with the organisation’s range of innovative products and pipeline projects.

The RAA Future Expo will be held at 12.30pm on Monday 28 November in the Adelaide Entertainment Centre’s Star Room Foyer followed by the AGM in the Star Room from 1.30pm.

RAA President and Chair Peter Siebels said the AGM continues to be an important forum for members to learn more about RAA’s operations and fiscal year results, as well as its future-focused activities on show at the interactive Future Expo.

“We have our sights set years ahead at RAA, and this Future Expo enables us to directly connect our members with our innovative projects and the RAA experts leading this exciting work.”

“Our members told us they wanted to hear more about our future focus at the AGM—and we’ve listened,” he said.

Mr Siebels said the Future Expo will enable members to learn more about:

  • Electric vehicles – through a hands-on experience with the next generation of vehicle technology
  • South Australia’s electric vehicle charging network – where and when we’re installing EV chargers across the State.
  • Home electric vehicle charging units – what we’re doing to support home charging for EVs.
  • Solar and battery – how we’re helping South Australians ease the cost-of-living burden when it comes to energy costs
  • RAA Go – our new journey mapping app and how it can help commuters get from A to B more easily and cheaply than ever before.

Mr Siebels said regional members or those unable to attend the event in the city won’t miss out.

“For the second year running, members can attend our AGM online, where they’ll also hear a lot more on our innovative work, our vision for the future and they’ll have the same ability to ask questions as anyone attending in person.”

RAA experts attending the AGM include Mark Borlace (Mobility Technology Specialist), Charles Mountain (Senior Manager Safety and Infrastructure), Ben Flink (Senior Manager Innovation) and Simon Halford (Future Motoring Specialist).

Mr Siebels also encouraged members to take a look at RAA’s 2021-2022 Annual Report ahead of the AGM, where the organisation’s financial year achievements will be recognised.

RAA members can register here to receive an event reminder and calendar invitation. If you can’t make it in person, you’ll receive a link to the AGM online platform via email.
