RAA partners with the Adelaide Thunderbirds

8 July, 2025

RAA members will receive more exclusive experiences, giveaways and discounts in the sporting arena thanks to a new partnership with the Adelaide Thunderbirds.

From next season, RAA members will have access to special giveaways and exclusive experiences, plus 10% off Gold and Silver general admission tickets to all Adelaide Thunderbirds home games during the Super Netball season (subject to availability).

The partnership gives RAA members even more to cheer for after saving hundreds of thousands of dollars from existing sporting sponsorships including with the Adelaide Football Club, Port Adelaide Football Club, Adelaide United and the Adelaide 36ers.

Under the partnership, RAA will be a Major Partner of the Adelaide Thunderbirds and Netball SA, and the official travel partner of the Adelaide Thunderbirds.

Chief Executive Officer Nick Reade said RAA is pleased to partner with another iconic South Australian sporting organisation.

“As South Australia’s largest member organisation with more than 830,000 members, we’re thrilled to be partnering with the Thunderbirds, who’ve just reached their own member milestone of 6,000,” Mr Reade said.

“Supporting our local sports teams is incredibly important to us at RAA, because we know how much they mean to our members and the impact they have in our community.

“Expanding from our partnerships in AFL, soccer and basketball, this new sponsorship will open up a range of benefits for SA’s netball lovers – as well as supporting another thriving female sports team.

“Our sponsorship kicks off this weekend and we’re proud to have the RAA brand side by side with the Adelaide Thunderbirds.

“Stay tuned for more about the exciting benefits our collaboration with the Adelaide Thunderbirds will deliver for our members from next season.”

Netball SA CEO Bronwyn Klei said the partnership was born from a shared passion for the South Australian community.

“Our members are at the heart of everything we do at the Thunderbirds and Netball SA, and we know this is a passion we share with RAA,” Ms Klei said.

“As a club, we’re incredibly proud to have over 6,000 loyal and passionate members in our Pink Army and their support means the world to the team.

“This new record is significant for us as the second-highest membership base in Suncorp Super Netball and we’re thrilled to welcome RAA as the official member partner for the next three years.

“We look forward to celebrating our members at our Member Recognition Round at our fortress, the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, on Saturday, July 12.”
