RAA Travel Showcase highlights the appetite for travel in 2023

9 February, 2023

More than 2,000 South Aussies have been inspired to plan and book their dream holiday, after the RAA Travel Showcase made a splash in Adelaide over the weekend.

A huge turnout descended on the Adelaide Convention Centre on Saturday, to get their hands on exclusive holiday deals and insights from travel experts.

RAA General Manager of Travel and Distribution, Gina Norman, said the interest in the event reflected the strong enthusiasm for travel being felt by the business.

“With almost all travel restrictions now behind us, we’re seeing pent-up demand for travel now well and truly coming to the fore,” Gina said.

“Lots of attendees arrived early before Saturday’s event, hoping to plan and book their dream holiday with one of our experts.

“Thank you to all our expert travel advisors and partners for making our first major Travel Showcase event such a success.”

In addition to RAA Travel’s own experts, more than 25 of our trusted partners came along and presented information sessions on a range of destinations and topics. The partners included APT, Journey Beyond, Princess Cruises, Grand Pacific Tours and Contiki.

Gina said a lot of Saturday’s attendees were keen to book their next holiday with a travel expert, due to the availability challenges they had experienced with some locations and airlines.

“Demand for overseas holidays is booming and we don’t see that slowing down any time soon.”

“Flight numbers still haven’t quite reached pre-COVID levels, and in the first half of this year are already heavily booked for some of the most popular destinations.

“We’re encouraging holidaymakers to hop on to the RAA Travel website, or contact one of our travel advisors, and start planning their 2023 overseas vacation as soon as possible to avoid missing out and get the best deal possible.

“We recommend making a booking at a time that suits you before heading in-store to see us.”
