Tara Page appointed as RAA Insurance Chief Executive

23 May, 2023

Following a national recruitment process, RAA has today announced that Tara Page has been appointed as RAA Insurance Chief Executive (CE) – effective immediately.

Tara has been acting in the role since March and will now become RAA Insurance’s first female CE.

Tara joined RAA in 2017 as the organisation’s General Counsel and has since held various roles, as Company Secretary for both RAA and RAA Insurance and becoming RAA’s first Chief Governance and Risk Officer in 2022.

RAA President and Chair Peter Siebels said Tara was assessed against a field of incredibly well-credentialled and highly qualified candidates.

“Tara’s success in securing the CE role speaks to her expertise, commercial acumen and leadership capabilities,” Mr Siebels said.

“Her talent and capabilities, coupled with her intimate knowledge of the organisation and RAA Insurance, will see Tara thrive in the role and further strengthen RAA Insurance’s award-winning service for our members.

“This year, RAA celebrates 100 years offering insurance, and we’re confident Tara will help guide RAA Insurance in this chapter.”

RAA Chief Executive Officer Nick Reade said Tara’s experience and expertise managing risk, governance and the organisation’s regulatory compliance meant she had all the skills to succeed in her new role.

“In my time at RAA, I’ve experienced Tara’s capabilities first-hand and I don’t think RAA Insurance could be in better hands with her at the helm,” Mr Reade said.

“Tara has a deep understanding of the industry and having worked alongside our insurance business for a number of years, it will be a seamless transition for her to now lead RAA Insurance.”

RAA Insurance Chief Executive Tara Page said she was looking forward to the new challenge and continuing to improve the insurance offering and service for RAA’s 800,000 members.

“RAA Insurance is such an important part of the broader RAA Group and it’s a privilege to be able to lead this business to deliver even more for our members,” Ms Page said.

“It’s certainly a challenging time in the insurance industry with the increasing unpredictability of weather events, inflationary pressures and supply chain issues affecting the motor and housing markets.

“RAA Insurance is tackling these challenges and I look forward to working with the team to keep delivering our award-winning level of service for RAA members.”
