RAA has more than doubled the funding available for the Regional Safety Grants through its Community Impact Fund in the past two years.
Grants of up to $10,000 are now on offer for practical projects that help keep regional South Australians safe.
Since the program began in 2013, RAA has awarded around $700,000 to communities right across the state, backing everything from road and water safety to emergency response and community facilities.
RAA General Manager Community & Corporate Affairs Emily Perry said the program is all about helping regional South Australians make their own communities safer.
“The best safety ideas come from the people living and working in these communities every day,” Ms Perry said.
“Every year we see just how much local knowledge and community spirit can achieve, and we can’t wait to see what’s put forward this round.
“Whether it’s safer roads, better equipment, or new skills, this is a chance for local communities to turn a good idea into something that keeps people safe for years to come.
“Get in early and put your project forward.”
