With additional funding added by RAA’s new Community Impact Fund, Grassroots Giving is now giving more organisations than ever the chance to fund a project that benefits their community.
Grants of up to $5,000 are available to not-for-profit and community organisations or not-for-profits with projects that focus on:
RAA General Manager Community and Corporate Affairs Emily Perry said the program highlights RAA’s commitment to the communities its members call home.
“Since it began in 2019, Grassroots Giving has provided more than $450,000 to great, local community causes and programs,” Ms Perry said.
“At RAA we’re all about being better for members and better for our community, and our Grassroots Giving grants are one way we support local groups and organisations across the state.
“We know these organisations don’t always have surplus funds to initiate programs to help those in our community who need it most.
“As SA’s largest member-based organisation, we’re honoured to help great initiatives, and we encourage any group with a relevant project to apply.”
For 2025 recipient Treasure Boxes, RAA support saw vulnerable South Australian families provided safe cots and mattresses at no cost to them.
“Many of the families we support are experiencing significant hardship, including homelessness, domestic violence, or newly arriving in Australia with very few belongings, said Erika Fuller, Treasure Boxes Warehouse Manager.
“This funding has ensured that infants and young children have a safe place to sleep during incredibly challenging times. We are deeply grateful to RAA for helping us meet the basic needs of children across our state.”
